Sunnyside

"Grab your coat & get your hat, leave your worries on the doorstep.  Just direct your feet to the Sunnyside of the street". Sunnyside of the Street

Yes, that song played in my mind as I worked on this quilt.  I purchased 3 Layer Cakes & yardage of "Sunnyside" by Camille Roskelley for Moda Fabrics from Sunflower Quilt Shop in Axtell Utah but I wasn't sure what project I was going to use it in.  I ended up using almost 2 of the Layer Cakes, "Snow" background from Andover Fabrics, & yardage from the "Sunnyside" line for the outer border, backing, & binding.

I ended up using the "merry-go-round" pattern by Kimberly Walus found in the Quilter Lovers' Favorites by American Patchwork & Quilting. I did not add the 2 1/2" background inner border but the quilt finished at 83" x 97" which is a nice size.

I machine quilted this one with an edge to edge pantograph called "Fern" from Urban Elementz.  I used Glide Thread in Cool Grey.

I have enough half square triangles left to make another quilt which may be just a bit larger than this one.  We shall see.

Finished size 83" x 97" (without the original inner border)

I named this Sunnyside after the fabric line

This is how the quilting looks on the front
