What to do with your leftover pizza dough!

I signed up for the free Pizza tutorial on www.craftsy.com and it had some great tips.  Last night it was home made pizza.  The dough makes enough for 2 pizzas but only needed one last night.  So, into the fridge the extra dough went.  Tonight when I got home from work I pondered what to make for dinner.  Took out the leftover pizza dough and made fry bread for Navajo Tacos.  They were pretty darn good!  There were a couple of fry bread left over so on went the honey & instant scones for dessert.

New Year, New Ideas

Recently, I saw a recipe for baked broccoli.  Well, I had to make a change to the recipe that I saw and came up with my own version.  I washed & separated a couple of bunches of broccoli, put them in a zip lock bag & stowed in the fridge until I was ready to use.  Tonight was the night.  Into the zip lock bag went a few garlic cloves quartered, olive oil or in my case avacado oil (yummy stuff) and about 2 Tablespoons of McCormick Perfect Pinch Cajun spice.  Bake on cookie sheet (uncovered) at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes.  Turn the broccoli about half way through cooking time.
I also made braised New York Steak salad.  Brown & braise New York steak with a bit of beef broth & the Cajun spice used in the broccoli.  Put some lettuce on a plate with sliced Roma tomato.  Add the braised steak & then Creamy Poppyseed Dressing.  Well, it was very good, even if I do say so myself.  Hubby will have leftover steak for his lunch tomorrow.
Hope you are all going to try something new this year.  Enjoy!
