Forever Tapestry

Had some leftover half square triangle units from 2 other projects.  Since I am still in my use what I have on hand mode I knew I had to use them somehow.  In the Feb/March 2016 McCall's Quick Quilts there was a patter called "Tapestry" designed by Gerri Robinson.  It was just the inspiration for me to use the half square triangle units.  I love how this turned out.  The border fabrics were from an estate sale that I went to last year.  The backing was also pieced together using all but the last half square triangles which I am sure will find it's way into a future project.

I called this quilt "Forever Tapestry" to honor the inspirational design.  Used 4 of the half square triangles for the label.  I love using fabric that I have on hand and as you may know scrappy is my favorite thing!

Used half square triangles leftover from 2 other projects.

Machine quilted with an all over modified clam shell pattern.

Label even used half square triangles.  "Forever Tapestry",

Last of the half square triangles used in the pieced backing.  Love my scrappy projects!

Hope you are having a wonderful August.  Hard to believe that the month is almost gone and schools have started or are beginning this next week.
