I love the polka dots!

New shoes to go with the new dress!

Love the butterflies.

Split Nine Patch

I have had the ATV fabric for a while now & finally decided to put it to use.  Using fabrics that I have in my stash I decided to throw them together to make a "Split Nine Patch" pattern.  The black fabric is the "pop" fabric.  You place that in the center of the 9 patch block & when the block is cut in half each way you end up with black squares dotting the quilt top.

Will post photos once I have it finished.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

Found At Last!

Found my little Featherweight today!
We went to Kanab for the day & stopped in Panguitch on the way home.
Went into some stores to look.
Bought some fabric.

But what did I find in this little bitty shop named Pink Polka Dot Store?

Hubby stood outside the store window wildly pointing to a Featherweight in the store window.
I didn't even notice this one on the floor by the front display.
I have been looking for a long time for one I could afford.
It was a bit more than I would have liked to pay, but worth every penny.
Brought her home, cleaned her up, serviced & adjusted.
Sweet little machine.
I named her Dottie because I found her at the Pink Polka Dot Store.
What can I say?
So wonderful to have a great hubby who supports my love of sewing machines & fabric.
Love him so much.,
Married 39 years tomorrow.

2013 Sevier County Fair Quilt

Sevier County Fair Quilt

Theme is We've Got Moo's For Ewe

Finished my 2013 Fair Quilt.  It is an original design.  I used a printed panel & cut out the critters that I wanted.  I am pleased with the results.

July Block of the Month

Had yesterday off for the 4th of July.  Went to work for a short time this morning.  Just didn't have the heart for it today.  Came home, took hubby to lunch, went grocery shopping, worked in the yard, and made my July BOM.  The pattern is a modified Tumbling Block or Baby Block pattern.  Must say 60 degree cuts are not my favorite.  It went together fairly well.

Finished machine quilting my fair quilt and am just sewing the binding on.  The label is ready to put on it.  Trying to figure out what quilt I want to do next.  Perhaps I will be inspired by fabric in my stash.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
