Block Exchange 2020

Well, I finally finished the quilt with the blocks from the Block Exchange that I did with Life's Little Threads Block Exchange.  I must say that one of the blocks was a real challenge for me.  It wasn't a complicated block, but I had to lay it out so that my mind could figure out how to piece it together.  It was the Granny Square block.  But I am glad I participated with these wonderful ladies.  There were even some young quilters in the mix.  I am so happy with the blocks that they made for my challenge block.  I chose the Five Sided Wonky Log Cabin block for my block.  I love scrappy (as if you couldn't tell by my blog post name) and not having an exact pattern for a block can be a challenge.  The block itself is cut at 12 1/2 inches & finishes at 12 inches.  I added sashing and a 6 inch border.  I also used left over binding from my previous project.  I only had to make one extra block in order to complete this layout.   I love this quilt!  It finished at approximately 70" x 84".  The lime green borders & backing are from cuddle flannel.  Can't wait to see some of the other finished quilts from this group.

And of course, the label.  I really like the
binding with these blocks.
