Greenery

This year I have decided to complete the quilts for my Great nieces & nephews on my side (Matthews) of the family.  I have started on the final 5 quilts 4 of which will go to one family.  Today I completed the first quilt of that group for my Great Niece, Savanna.  These kids are growing up so quickly and time is flying by.  I feel the need to make them each their own quilt from their Great Aunt Amy.  As we get older our hands get tired very quickly and I don't want to leave these things undone before I am unable to do as much as I want to.

This quilt for our Savanna was made from a Layer Cake called "Greenery" from Maywood Studios.  I fell in love with the lilies and the greens, greys, and blacks in the fabrics.  This is the second quilt that I have made from this patter called "4 Patch Lattice" found in Missouri Star Quilt's BLOCK magazine (Holiday Vol 3 Issue 4).  It is a fun pattern that utilizes all of the 42 pack of Layer Cake squares.

The quilt finished at approximately 68" x 77".  I also made a matching pillow case to gift the quilt in.

Now on to the next design.

Finished size approximately 68" x 77"

Named this quilt "Greenery" after the
line of fabric from Maywood Studio
