Love You 'Til The Cows Come Home #2 & #3

 I had purchased 3 of the panels as it was so darn cute!  The first quilt that I made was for our new great granddaughter, Julie Jean.  These next two panel quilts used some different coordinating fabrics with the plaid 2nd border being just an inch larger than the other two quilts.  I used the same pattern from Fabric Cafe called Ribbons & Bows with some modifications to work for these panels.  Whenever I modify a pattern I will typically put my notes with the original pattern so I can duplicate the changes that I made.  After all, I had to use those brain cells to do the math to make it work with these larger panels!

I backed both quilts with the same flannel that I used on Julie Jean's quilt.  It is soft and works so well with the colors on the quilt.  I machine bound these two quilts and did not name them as I think the panel says it all.  My labels on these quilts do have my name as well as the year made.  I machine quilted them with the same pantograph called Love Knot from Urban Elementz.  It is the perfect pantograph for these quilts.  I used Glide thread in the color Linen for the quilting.

These quilts will be for sale.  Even though one of them is an inch or so larger than the other quilt I will price them the same.

Number 1: this one uses the beautiful plaid in the fabric line as the background for the pink ribbon to show off.  I also used the plaid fabric as the binding.  This one finished at approximately 51" x 61".

Number 2: this one uses the "burlap" floral print as the ribbon and is set off by the beautiful blue polka dot fabric.  Both fabrics are from the coordinating line for the panel.  I used the blue polka dot fabric on this one as the binding.  This one finished at approximately 50" x 60".

Julie Jean

 I saw this panel and beautiful coordinating fabrics from Timeless Treasures and knew that this would be the fabric to use for our new great granddaughter, Julie Jean.  She is a month old today and we cannot wait to see her in real life and hear her little cooing sounds and cuddle her sweet little body in our arms.

The pattern is from Fabric Cafe and is called Ribbons & Bows.  I modified the pattern to use additional fabric on the inner border of the panel.  I backed it with soft cuddly flannel.  The machine quilting pattern is called Love Knot from Urban Elementz using Glide thread in the color Linen.

The quilt is approximately 50" x 60" and is hand bound.  Yes, hand bound as my first great grandchild deserves no less.

I will be making 2 more of these quilts which will be for sale.  The panel is just too adorable to only make one special quilt.
