For Mackynzie

This is the last of the quilts for the great nephews & nieces on the Matthews side of the family.  Tom's sister, Carolyn, is a quilter so I think she will take care of those kiddos on the other side of the family.

This quilt is fro Melissa Corry's book entitled Charming Baby Quilts & the pattern is called "On the Move Quilt".  I have had the privilege of taking a couple of quilt classes from Melissa of Happy Quilting & would recommend her classes to anyone who would like to take a quilt class.  By the way, she will be at  The Stitching Room in Utah in August to teach 2 classes!

This quilt finished at approximately 50" x 58" & is backed with Minky fabric (only because I had a piece that was just the right size).  I machine quilted it with an all over circle/loop pattern.  I wanted to bring the circles in from the design on the Minky and one of the fabrics that I used in the quilt itself.

I hope she likes this quilt.  I have yet to meet her in person but I want her to know what a blessing she is to our family.  Hugs and kisses Mackynzie Moo!!!

I used just a few fat quarters that had pink or grey in them.

Love the polka dot Minky on the back
