Sole Mates

Finished just in time!  March is Down Syndrome month & I have been wanting to make this quilt for almost a year now for a special little fella.  What joy he brings to his family & those who are satellites in his world.  The quilt is called Sole Mates & was designed by Michelle Freedman.  The pattern was included in the June/July 2023 issue of Fons & Porters Quick & Easy Quilts.  Sometimes you just have do make something that brings you joy!

The quilt is made of assorted cotton fabrics for the sock blocks & the background & backing are made from a cuddle soft flannel.  I used the Nuts & Bolts edge to edge pantograph from Urban Elementz to machine quilt this one.  What a fun design!

The quilt came out to 66" x 77".  A good size to grow into, make a fort, have a picnic, or whatever fun things the little fella decides to do. Oh, and I also made a pillowcase!

Happy DS month to my "Homies with Extra Chromies!"
