Explore Off Road

I just completed this quilt for my great-nephew's 15th birthday which is next month.  This is the second quilt I have made using the Off-Road pattern by Kelli Fannin Quilt Designs.  I enlarged the quilt by added 3 more borders to make the quilt 81" x 81".  The backing is cotton in a great print that I lucked into in a quilt shop in Delta, Utah.  Yes, it says Jeep on the fabric.  The center of the quilt is a pieced Jeep pattern.  It takes a while to put together but I do enjoy doing this.  I am now contemplating making a Pink Jeep quilt.  Because after all, why not!

I hope Evan enjoys this quilt as much as I enjoyed making it for him.

Next project is in the wings.

Finished size is 81" x 81"

Edge to edge Stipple machine quilting.
Pieced quilt.

I named this quilt "Explore Off Road"

Blushing Stars

I have been collecting pink fabrics for a few years now and wanted to make a special quilt for my Great Niece, Gemma.  Out came some of the pink & coral fabrics to create this quilt.  I designed the quilt using my Accuquilt Studio Die Cutter and my new dies for the Studio Chisel & Companion Triangle.  I used white for the chisel shape & pink for the triangles as well as the squares surrounding the chisel blocks.  This was a fun quilt to design and make for a special little girl.

The quilt turned out to be approximately 79" x 79".  I backed it with a soft cuddle flannel in a fun pink & white zebra stripe.  I had bound the quilt with bias binding.  The machine quilting was done using a Whacky Pansy edge to edge pantograph in pink thread.  I had such a good time making this quilt.

I really enjoy designing quilts and hope that Gemma enjoys this one for years to come.  It was made with love and prayers in each stitch.

I had to photograph the quilt on our bed as it
is still wet, snowy, and muddy in the yard.  The bed
looks bare without the pillows on it!
The quilt finished at approximately 79" x 79".  Our bed
is a king size so you can see that the quilt covers the
top of the bed.

I used an edge to edge pantograph that I call
Whacky Pansies.

Of course, the label.
I called this quilt Blushing Stars.
