I am not one who enjoys doing a Block of the Month (BOM) quilt, however, when I received an invitation to do the Riley Blake Designs 2024 block challenge I decided why not!
I had a fat quarter bundle called Ladies' Legacy by Barbara Brackman for Moda that I had been wanting to use and this turned out to be just the right quilt to use it in. I even used fat quarters to make the backing & the scrappy binding. I must say it was fun to do this one. I do have my favorite blocks that I just might use in future projects. You just never know with me.
I added the scrappy outer border to make the quilt just a bit bigger than the original pattern size. The quilt ended up at approximately 61" x 61". I machine quilted it with an edge to edge pantograph called Fern from Urban Elementz. Yes, it is one of my favorite designs to use.
Now on to the next project which is another Sleep In Heavenly Peace quilt. I have the top finished but need to make the backing. I am currently on a roll!!!!!!!!!!!
